Three words: Coolio's. Caprese. Salad.
When the going gets tough, the tough get cooking -- and baking, as evidenced on this very website. I find myself in the kitchen quite a bit these days, motivated by equal parts (1) ravenous hunger brought on by marathon training, (2) a general frantic-ness that can only be soothed by violently chopping things and (3) the return of Top Chef on Bravo.
When I'm not cooking, or when I can't summon the energy to go to the grocery store for raw materials, I search for awesomely inspirational food blogs. The Kitchn is one. Tastespotting is another.
It was on one of these recent quests that I discovered Cooking' With Coolio, which is exactly what the title implies. It's also the most hilarious web series since Yacht Rock. As one reviewer raved, "The production gives you a feel for what it might be like were Flavor Flav to host This Old House. For instance, Coolio taps out his spices from small plastic baggies as if he had bought them not at Whole Foods but in his dealer's Escalade."
