Despite the tenor of the last few posts I am not actually an alcoholic

I'm headed to Philadelphia for a few days for a conference. It will be a weekend of many firsts: first time flying Southwest, first long run in the new sneakers, first time attending a conference where I have to dress like a grown-up.

It'll also be my first time in Philadelphia. I was hunting for info about the city when I discovered that my conference is running concurrent to Philly Beer Week.

Philly. Beer. Week.

One place is offering $5 Belgian drafts. Another, three course meals paired with three local beers for $30. That one might be out of my league, but yet another offers "25 cent pierogies & $3 Yards pints." I don't even know what Yards tastes like, but you had damn better be sure I will by Monday.

Hey, Philadelphia? I think we're going to get along just fine.
