I try to resist bandwagons. I'm naturally a little contrarian, so when people tell me I have to do or hear or see something, I an disinclined to. This is why I still haven't read The Kite Runner. I'm dispensing with the catching-up; suffice it to say that nothing interesting happened over semester break. There was lots of sleep, and lots of cooking and baking, and a good deal of running. (Watch your mail!)

In other news, Lent is coming up, and haven't decided what I'm giving up yet. I'll tell you what I'm not giving up: alcohol. We've seen that movie before.
