Zucchini-ice-cream-quiche, anyone?
As I mentioned the other day, I'm moving on September 1, just across the city limits. Goodbye Porter Square noblesse; Hello Davis Square ne'er-do-wells.
In preparation for the move, I'm trying to divest myself of every possible possession -- starting with all the food in my freezer. I'm out of town for the last week of August, so I've got two weeks to consume:
- Six lemon popsicles
- 1 lb. chorizo sausage
- 2 pie crusts
- 2 quarts beef soup
- 1 quart zucchini soup
- 1 quart chicken soup
- 1 quart tomato gravy
- 1 pint Edy's chocolate chip ice cream
- 3 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/4 bottle of Jagermeister
The Jagermeister, incidentally, is not mine -- it's been in the freezer for as long as any of us have lived here, and someone has tried to toss it during every single one of our twice-yearly freezer purges; I've rescued it each time out of a weird sense of obligation.
Any recipe ideas?

It's amazing what you can find in your freezer after a few years, isn't it? That's actually not a bad assortment. Good luck in Davis Square! Is that still the hip spot to live, or have we moved on to somewhere else?

I expect the area's hipness to hit its peak on August 31 and rapidly decline as soon as I move there.
Actually, I get the feeling that the cool kids are moving to Chelsea. It's the gateway to the North Shore!

Chelsea... you may have something there. One of my cool friends bought a place there a few months ago.
I've also noticed a recent migration to East Boston... could be the next place to be!

Hey, I think I remember that bottle of Jager! Good luck with the move.
