"To reach the closest Dunkin Donuts, drive east for 95 miles."

Freezer update: Oh, it is slow going. I've put back all the zucchini soup (in both heated and chilled variations) and a chicken breast; the chorizo became a heavy but tasty taco filling. I paired it with tortillas for dinner and white rice and fresh garden tomatoes for lunch.

Road trip update: After a vaguely embarrassing epiphany I had over noodles, I ditched one of my California travel companions, replacing him with an iPod and a borrowed GPS. They aren't quite as entertaining, but probably will prove to be both less stressful and more useful. The other travel companion -- my mother, who is staging a small retaliatory attack towards Dad and Sully's Excellent Adventure -- is still hanging out in San Francisco with me for the first two days. It's going to be a good time.

Aforementioned noodle update: The noodles were courtesy of a preview dinner at the Harvard Square Wagamama. The food was as good as I remembered, but that space is hella noisy. It felt like being in a tiny and pretentiously decorated college dining hall.
